Product Review – Steel Blue Safety Boots

Finally took the hint and replaced my old T-Boots which were looking somewhat unprofessional. I had heard all about how good the Steel Blue Boots were from people I had met at various workplaces. I even got to meet Dennis Lillee at the safety Show (he is involved with the company somehow). They also offer a comfort guarantee.
I have always been a bit dubious about buying things like shoes on line as you cant really try them on properly. Anyway, all the boots I have ever worn were size 10 so I bit the bullet and went online. Best online shop I found was BUY BOOTS (no mucking around with that name). They promised fast delivery – the boots arrived the next day! -see if you can do better next time :-) . I bought the Argyles – see photo and rubbed a bit of dirt on them before going out in public.
Anyway, I don’t want to rabbit on but these are the most comfortable safety boots I have ever worn, I did a 3 day mine site visit without wearing them in and for 3 days it was like walking on a cloud only with really good ankle support. I have a wide foot and usually have problems with rubbing on the edge of the toe cap – but  not this time. The quality is excellent, right down to the laces. They are really easy to get on and off for the airport security scanner!
BUY BOOTS also sell Blundstone, Redback and Oliver. Ive always liked the Oliver Boots and looking forward to trying their non-steel composite toe cap

I bought some Oliver boots from Australia Direct and was VERY disappointed! First of all, they look cheap and are made in China. I suggest if you want that, go to Walmart or Sears and spend a lot less money! Second, I tried to return them because they got shipped from Australia but weren’t made in Australia. Australia Direct did not back their product nor try to make me a happy customer. It would have been over $60 to mail them back! I had already spent over $200! I tried to get with the company, Oliver, and I received yet more run-around. They weren’t that comfortable either! Go with Redbacks if you want a quality, comfortable boot made in Australia! Don’t make the same mistake I did!
