Benefits of PPE Vending:

1. NatVEND’s system allows companies to install PPE vending machines which can dispense products to staff at any time. This is useful for shift workers.

2. Where PPE items may have been given away in the past, they are now controlled.

3. Full accountability for all items dispensed or purchased.

4. Use of unique FOB numbers enables issue of special fobs to contractors. These contractors will be charged for the use of PPE products.

5. The online reports ensure efficiency when it comes to re-stocking the machines. The reports also help to reduce wastage and theft.

6. It is possible to have several sites geographically apart hooked up on one system. This facility allows the central accounting department to monitor usage and hence allocate costs to the correct job.

7. Drink and snack vending machines can be sited with PPE machines and operated via the electronic web-based system. Meal allowances can be introduced via ‘credits’ on the personalised smartcard of the employee.

Vendpro to feature Safety Stations Vending Machines at the WA Safety Show

PPE vending machines or Safety Stations that enable companies to control and monitor the issue of PPE to staff and contractors will be the feature of Safety Stations Australia’s stand at the WA Safety Show this year from August 24 to 26.

Vendpro’s Safety Station allows manufacturing, construction and mining companies to provide PPE and other consumable items to staff members 24/7, including outside normal store hours. The management system controls access to products and ensures individual accountability and correct usage.

The benefits of this new concept includes:
• Reduced consumption – 30 to 50 per cent savings
• Improved PPE compliance
• Accurate records and timely reporting
• Increased staff efficiency and elimination of paperwork

Although relatively new to Australia, Vendpro says the ease of use and many benefits associated with Safety Stations has seen a number of major operators implement the concept.

Vendpro Vending systems, which lays claim to the title of Western Australia’s largest supplier of vending equipment, will present the Safety Stations at The WA Safety Show from August 24 to 26 at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre.
