Hi there, You’ve done a fantastic job. I will definitely digg it and personally recommend to my friends. I’m confident they will be benefited from this website.
There should be an opt out link on those emails
After I initially commented I seem to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now every time a comment is added I recieve 4 emails with the same comment. Perhaps there is a way you can remove me from that service? Thanks!
We are a bunch of volunteers and starting a new scheme in our community. Your site provided us with helpful info to work on. You’ve done an impressive process and our entire neighborhood might be grateful to you.
Hi
I saw on your site a picture i have already seen on a powerpoint presentation about a spark for car factory in China.
On each picture it was possible to identify risks for the workers , electic safety risk and it would be a good thing to student to identify what is wrong on each picture …
Thanks for your help

Hi,
I am a safety officer in an engineering workshop & busy updating our HSE documentation, i need swp for ladders in word doc pls
I have a question or maybe a discussion topic.
Reading through the National Code of Practice, how to manage asbestos in the workplace, in particular Chap. 7, controlling the risks, Para 7.5 Safe work practices the topic of local exhaust ventilation {LEV} dust control hoods is raised, as an option or preferred method of control when using power tools {sanders, planner’s, etc.}.
As most of the more modern hand tools that are available on the market today have these options available to them, I begin to wonder that as these LEV’s are generally made from a porous material i.e. heavy duty cotton/cloth, similar to a vacuum cleaner bag there still exists the possibility of fibres escaping into the atmosphere.
Obviously the bag needs to treated and disposed of in accordance with the code, is there an LEV available constructed of a material that is more resistant to leakage, under these circumstances.
Even with the use of combined control options being used, wouldn’t it make more sense to have a product that is purpose built for the job?
Thank you
This might assist: http://www.safetyrisk.com.au/2012/10/14/safety-climate-safety-leadership-survey/
If it is with a particular organisation the first and most important thing is to do a needs analysis to properly target the survey. Everything else will flow from there.
Having effective surveys is a reasonably complicated process and if you do not have the skills you need to get assistance Just coming up with a bunch of questions will rarely work.

To Steveman
As a teacher of Cert IV OHS I have asked my students to eithr do their worplace or I have given them one to do the EAP on. Your teacher should have organised a workplace for you if you do not have access to one.
Another suggestion is to ask someone who owns a business that you may know, if that doesn’t help ask another student if it would be possible to use one of their workplaces.
Hope this helps?
Colin
I hope someone can help. Studying Cert IV OHS, currently unemployed, and have reached the poit where I need to draft an Emergency Action Plan.

There is no License Agreement or Terms of Use, its just a free tool that anyone can download and use.
In order to be allowed by my company to use these tools i.e. Risk Assessment Calculator, I need to have a copy of the License Agreement or Terms of Use that state I am allowed to use this program for our own use. Is there a place on the website to get this information?
Thank you so much

I have downloaded the electronic risk score calculator and find it most useful. The matrix is more complete than the standard one used in Europe and allows for the calculation of more precise risk levels.
Congratulations and thank you for sharing it

Hi dis subbaro from india.
Riskex,
Thanks for your input, but upon further investigation the metadata states that it is a “Microsoft Windows application” and I’m afraid I do not run the duel program.
If I can suggest that maybe in future developers offer downloads, like the Risk Calculator, etc, availability on both platforms? Do you now where I might be able to obtain a Mac based version of both calculators?
No-one has ever told us of a problem with Macs – it is an exe file so should work.
All other downloads are pdf, Word or Excel files and no probs reported except with very old versions of those programs???????
I tried to download the Risk Assessment calculator, but it won’t work or appears not too anyway, on an Mac. What are the system operating requirements for this, along with all your other downloads??
Hi
I need to find a meeting AGENDA template suitable for an OHS committee, one that you would send out before a meeting. I have millions (well maybe some) of OHS minutes templates that record the minutes from the previous meeting but I have never seen a template for agenda items before, as normally agenda items are raised in a informal email. I hope someone can direct me to a site.
This is a fantastic site great job guys!! Thank you.
Great to hear we make it all the way to Greece – thanks
Hello, my name is Mike.
I reside in Greece and I am involved in the Quality Management in the metal industry where safety is of paramount importance. Surfing the Internet for loss prevention related sites, I stopped the search here.
It is safe to say that I did not expect to find a site so full of useful information.
Thank you.
Thanks Mike – let us know if there is something specific you are looking for. Its probably in there somewhere
if not we will track it down and add it
Great site – Haven’t worked my way through the massive amount of info yet, a work in progress.

Hi RossM
Ive just checked it and it is working fine, we haven’t had a problem in over 100,000 downloads. Did you register and click on the confirmation link? can you tell me more about teh problem? Have you checked your download folder?
I have tried unsuccessfully several times to download the electronic risk score calulator to my computer desktop for O.H. & S. purposes.
It looks like a useful tool. Very frustrating!
Thanks Deb – I really appreciate your feedback, started out as just a hobby but now i have created a monster! Its is great to know that all teh efforts are appreciated – thanks heaps!
HI to Dave this site is a daily source of information and I freely share with as many other managers, supervisors, employees to become informed, knowledgeable and better skilled to provide safer work environments.
Very much appreciated and keep the good work coming it is a valuable tool no matter what inductry you are in.
THANK YOU.
Very good site with some very useful tools that have saved me a lot of time in preparing my own forms and templates. The risk assessment tool is particularly useful. Just one thing I’d like to ask… Do you think it would be possible for the risk assessment tool to have an option for adjusting the Risk figure output (in the Risk Parameters box) to suit individual needs? For example, my company uses a risk matrix that has a maximum risk rating of 16. The risk Assessment Tool goes up to 10000.
If the source code for this tool was available it would be helpful.
Thanks again for a really useful site.
Thanks for your great feedback! You are right, there is a lot of work that has gone into this. No plans at this stage for slogans in other languages as there is so much other stuff to do and I have to prioritise but if there is more demand then I will look at it
This is just a general comment on the whole site.
I have to congratulate you on a well put together site. I get a lot of use out of it when I am stuck out in field and can’t connect to my company intranet and have to make up a new checklist or need some signage. Thumbs up to you and your team. I really like the fact you have Hindi slogans on here (branching out), helps me when I can communicate with the workforce. Is there any chance in the future your site will have Arabic, Tagalog or Nepal slogans or signs on here as well? Keep up the great work, there ar people out here who really appreciate the hard work that goes into this.
hey man,
Greetings!

Hi and thankyou very much for your comments. I would love to help you out but changing the dollar symbols is very tricky, for me anyway, it will probably take me a couple of hours to reprogram and I dont even have that symbol on my keyboard
I’ll give it a go when I have some spare time and let you know when it is available.
Hello and thanks for this website. As a health and safety consultant, anything that helps small businesses with health and safety is a good idea to me! The only thing is, can I get a copy of this risk calculator with the £ – GB Pounds symbol instead of Dollars? Thanks

Gday Greg,
Mate I appreciate your comments – thanks for that. Started as a hobby that became a bit obsessive at times – best I dont sit down and add up the hours that I have put into it
Any feedback or suggestiuons are always welcome, run out of ideas sometimes,But……….an hour ago we hit 1,000,000 visitors (over 15 months) – that makes it all worthwhile – just wish more than 0.00001% of visitors would take the time, like you did, just to say thanks, makes it easier to keep going then – thanks again!
dave
